Whether the rumor is true or not, Cardi B and Eminem situation as far recording music together has been addressed by Cardi herself.
One thing is indeed factual, Cardi B is currently working on her new studio album. But, Eminem to be featured on that album, well, that could very well be true. As far Marshall Mathers declining such a feature is a complete lie says Cardi.
Taking it to her official Twitter account addressing the “rumors”, Cardi tweeted, “BIG LIES….I get off the internet and ya makin s— up. I haven’t sent no songs to no artist yet. Love his work and much respect. This don’t even make sense.”
A day later the Bronx native contemplated on deleting her Twitter account until she is ready to drop her new project. “Thinking about deleting this app until I drop my next little project …but then again where I’m going to hear, wakin up in the morning thinkin about so many things I just wish things will get better?”
She also teased big features for the new album. “Since they like to make up LIES about me cause their so obsessed just know this .. y’all laughing about this fake rumor but wait until y’all see these next collabs.”
With that being said it does appear Cardi is not prepared to dropped her new album any time soon, since she has not sent any of the potential featured artists any music. Cardi’s latest single “Up” was released back in early February of 2021. This past week “Up” claimed the number one spot on the Billboard 100, much to the excitement of Cardi who expressed her gratitude via an IG caption. “I want God to come see me in my dreams when I take my nap today so I can kiss his feet and tell him how much I love him !!! Yoooooo s–t is amazing yoooooo .I got no words. Actually I got a lot of words but I can’t type it all 😩😂NUMBER 1!!!!!”
Since 2019 Cardi B has been torn as far as the direction for a new album. “I feel like right now, what’s hot is like a ‘Twerk Sound’, so I’m like, shall I make my music sound like that? But I can’t only go with what’s hot. I still got to go with what I want to do.” Cardi said speaking with Billboard.
A year later Cardi gave a bit more insight on what to expect of her new album when she was interviewed by Elle. “My music is always going to make a woman feel like a bad b—h. When you make a woman feel like she’s the baddest b—h in the room, to me, that’s female empowerment,” she explained. “This album is going to be really different. Of course, it’s going to have my ‘Lemonade’ moments, my personal relationship moments.”
