Two New Cardi B Reebok Sneakers Are On The Way

Continuing her sneaker collaboration with Reebok into the new year is Cardi B as she prepares to release two new designs for her Club C Cardi and the Cardi Coated Club C Double.

Making the announcement was Cardi B via her official Instagram account on Friday (January 22). “My next @reebok drop is going to be sooo bute & fun !!! I cant wait !!!!! I wish I can put it on right now ! I mean I could ,but I wanna wait !! Who ready?,” Cardi wrote in the caption.

As with previous releases Cardi’s sneakers are anticipated to sell out within minutes. In celebration of her 28th birthday, the rapper dropped the new collection back in November of 2020.

Cardi would also receive backlash during this time when she appeared on the cover of Footwear News to promote the Reebok line. The rapper would pose as Hindu goddess Durga, but would later issue an apology for what many called a hurtful gesture.

“When I did the shoot, the creatives told me I was going to represent a Goddess; that she represents strength, femininity and liberation, and that’s something I love and I’m all about. And though it was dope, if people think I’m offending their culture or their religion I want to say that was not my intent. I do not like offending anyone’s religion; I wouldn’t like it if someone did it to my religion,” Cardi said on a video post shared on Instagram.

“When people dress as Virgin Mary and Jesus, as long as they do it in a beautiful, graceful way. But I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful; maybe I should have done my research. I’m sorry, I can’t change the past but I will do more research for the future,” she added. Footwear news also apologized.
