Offset Pays Tribute As He Features Cardi B On “Jealousy”

Offset releases his first single “Jealousy” featuring Cardi B, off his forthcoming album and pays tribute to iconic group and film.

GRAMMY®-nominated superstar Offset is gearing up his latest project. Ensuring he makes an instant impression, the talented artist links with his wife, Cardi B. The hip hop couple directly address recent internet speculation about their relationship on the incendiary new track.

The single “Jealousy” samples Three 6 Mafia’s “Jealous Ass B******” featured on the legendary group’s 2000 compilation “Underground Vol. 3: Kings of Memphis.” Offset and Cardi wrote “Jealousy” with OZ, Boi-1da and Jahaan Sweet, who produced.

The Fabric of Hip-Hop: Slum Village Fantastic Volume 2 collection arrives on the heels of the release of Slum Village’s new single “Just Like You“, featuring Bay Area emcee Larry June and old school Detroit Soul ensemble The Dramatics. The single serves as the lead single from Slum Village’s currently untitled forthcoming album, which will be the group’s first new full-length project in over eight years.

Offset Pays Tribute As He Features Cardi B On "Jealousy"

A tribute to the classic 2001 film Baby Boy, the official video for “Jealousy” is full of love and drama. Shot in Los Angeles, it features Offset, Cardi and award-winning actress Taraji P Henson (Baby Boy, “Empire”) plus cameo appearances by all of Offset’s children. Offset and J3K Logistics, his production company, produced and directed the video.

“This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” Offset told Variety. “I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.”

Last weekend, Offset performed at Rolling Loud Miami, where Cardi joined him to perform “Clout” and Migos’ “MotorSport.” The 3x Platinum “Clout” ft. Cardi B – which appeared on Offset’s debut solo album, 2019’s Father of 4 – received a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap Performance, marking his first nod for his solo work and following Migos’ nominations for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance at the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
