Tupac Shakur Foundation To Honor Afeni With Visual Tribute

The Tupac Shakur foundation continues to remember the life and legacy of the late Afeni Shakur with an up coming visual tribute.

Afeni Shakur, the beloved mother, grandmother, philanthropist, activist and friend to many, passed away five years ago on May 2nd. Last month, TASF (Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation), hosted a private community program and celebration honoring the foundation’s founder Afeni Shakur. ” Her life and legacy continues to have a profound impact on the lives of so many people today,” read the caption via the official TASF Instagram account.

Directed by TASF’s creative arts director, Hilda Willis, the tribute will highlight an evening Of Prose, Poetry and Movement. The production will also feature the foundation’s talented cast and crew honoring Afeni.

Tickets will be available in the up coming weeks and all proceeds will go towards The Afeni Shakur Legacy Fund. “Through this Fund we will be able to continue Afeni’s Legacy by assisting disenfranchised & marginalized women of color, 45 years and older, who are in need of financial support to further their personal growth and development,” read the caption accompanied by a preview of the tribute.
