The Game has announced a break from social media to concentrate on delivering his album.
On Monday evening, The Game, took to Instagram to open up to his loyal fanbase. In a shock post, Compton native The Game admitted that the past two weeks have been a nightmare. Maybe to emphasize this announcement, he deleted all of his previous Instagram posts. Describing it as “Disloyalty on levels unimaginable”, it’s clear that he’s feeling the effects of the ill-treatment.
In addition, The Game, while no stranger to working out, appears to have overworked his body. Because of the extra stress, he landed himself in therapy for inflamed muscles and a bruised tailbone. In the picture, The Game lies facedown while he receives electrical muscle stimulation on his lower back.
With the imminent release of his eagerly awaited Numinati album, The Game feels that he needs to take a step back. He wrote; “This break is for my MENTAL HEALTH & to afford myself the capacity to complete my album in full & stay committed to my release date.” Promising to deliver Numinati on August 12, the 42-year-old L.A. rapper says that he guarantees Greatness.
In 2022, it seems like The Game has dominated Hip Hop headlines. It all started with him not getting an invite to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in Los Angeles. Witnessing his old label mate 50 Cent get the nod before him, he took that as a disrespectful move. As a result, The Game let everybody know his thoughts, even making the bold statement that he was a better rapper than Eminem.
Speaking exclusively with Hip Hop XXIV, The Game’s sister B.F.L.Y explained the mindset of an artist. She said; “Sometimes I look at this music as a competition with yourself. Sometimes we’ll say yeah I’m better than everybody and that will probably put fire under your a– to own up to those words.”
