During an interview with Hip Hop XXIV, The Game’s sister, B.F.L.Y., talks about her brother’s rumored diss record going at Eminem.
The talented hip hop artist, B.F.L.Y., is sticking with her family and believes her brother The Game can hold his own against Eminem. B.F.L.Y. says the upcoming diss record can also be a marketing plan and the competitive nature of hip hop and battling in its purest form. “To me if it’s not making no money, like DJ Quick said then it don’t make no sense,” Game’s sister said. “Sometimes I look at this music as a competition with yourself. Sometimes we’ll say yeah I’m better than everybody and that will probably put fire under your a– to own up to those words.”
The Game indeed has taken that route, as he claimed to be better than Eminem when he appeared on Drink Champs. The “Born 2 Rap” artist said he was not only better than Eminem, but also wanted to prove it on a Verzuz stage. “Eminem, Eminem is Eminem. I like Eminem, he’s one of the f–king good emcees, great emcees,” said Game. “I used to think Eminem was better than me. He not. He not. He’s not. Ay, challenge it.”
Recently, The Game’s manager Wack 100 added to the Game vs. Eminem conversation, when he appeared on Clubhouse. Wack stated the Compton native was ready to release a new single aimed at Eminem. According to Wack, Eminem will have no choice but to respond to The Game after the record drops. “We startin’ a fire, the Black Slim Shady is coming,” Wack said. “That n—a better be ready, because this n—a done went crazy.”
Now the question remains, is The Game really prepared to go toe-to-toe lyrically with Eminem. Game’s sister believes anything is possible. “I have seen Eminem lose to a person in a rap battle,” B.F.L.Y. said ot Hip Hop XXIV. “He’s name is Otherwize. He is very talented. But, he lost a battle to him and it is not talked about a lot. At the end of the day, Otherwize is a lyricists, just as Eminem is a lyricists. So, at the end of the day I feel if you put your mind in anything you can do whatever you want.”
B.F.L.Y. is referring to the 1997 Rap Olympics where Eminem and Otherwize battled. The epic showdown went to extra rounds given the fact the two were going at it. Ultimately, Otherwize would come out on top, in what was a very close battle.
