Hip hop fans have been patiently waiting for new music from Ludacris and might not have to wait much longer as he releases a new freestyle.
It’s been nearly eight years since Ludacris has released a full length studio album. Despite his love for music, the rapper/actor/business owner has been diving into other various passions of his. Since 2015, Luda has been involved in multiple TV series, movies such as ‘John Henry’ and ‘F9: The Fast Saga,’ plus doing voices for animated films like ‘Show Dogs.’
Closing out 2022, Luda also focused on his love for food. After releasing his 2015 “Ludaversal” project, the rapper returned to his “obsession” for restaurants. Luda would go on to name his new venture after his 2003 album “Chicken + Beer,” as he teamed with CEO Daniel Halpern of Jackmont Hospitality to open a Chicken + Beer restaurant at Gate D5 in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. As Luda gears up for the release of Fast X in May of 2023, the rapper appears to be “having fun again” and has teased a possible return to music. Sharing a freestyle late Thursday night (February 2) to his 14 million followers on Instagram, Luda captioned his video saying, “Dis $hit Startin to feel FUN AGAIN 🎤”
“My watch feeling like ‘Pac, it’s all eyes on / And I’m the truth in the booth, get you lies on and Go and put the fries on / Working a** n**** I’m a boss get your mind right, it gets dark when you step into the lime light / I’m on that Scott’s on the rocks with a lime life, and Virgo’s rule the world get your sign right,” rapped Luda on the 59 second freestyle which comes 2 months after Ludacris released his only single in 2022, ‘Buying All Black.’
