King Zayd Releases New Single and Video “I Got It”

King Zayd returns with a new single “I Got It,” along with the official music video directed by Jae Synth.

Continuing a year which has seen releases such as “Im Da Bag” and “Do What U Supposed To Do,” King Zayd delivers yet another single. Entitled “I Got It,” King Zayd ensures listeners understand the RBG movement is alive.

The single comes on the heels of Zayd’s performance in Sacramento. Invited by his comrade Keon Johnson, Zayd was able to bless the stage in celebration for Marcus Garvey G-Day. “While I was there, I linked with my brother Jae Synth who ended up shooting the “I Got it “ Video and we got some footage also of the celebration,” revealed King Zayd via his Instagram account. “We decided to drop the video and the song. It caught me off guard, for real how much love was shared by my SacTown folks and I truly appreciate yall!!”

Prior to experiencing that “love,” Zayd felt it was crucial to release a song that would be an anthem for the RGB movement. A movement he felt many had given up on.

“It’s a song I wrote because I felt like a lot of people gave up on the RBG movement because of what seemed like overwhelming odds, disappointment in certain leadership, the representation of the colors being a fad or trend for some therefore outgrowing it,” Zayd told Hip Hop XXIV. “I would also say some of the folks left that continued to fly the flag lacked the ability to connect the purpose and image of the flag to the masses with all due respect. I wanted to let the people know that the mission was alive and well though seemingly dormant.”
