E.D.I. Mean of Tupac’s Outlawz and 17 year old producer kiesample team up to create an original song titled “Why We Up”.
Thematically inspiring listeners to empower themselves via focus and hustle to achieve goals. These artists live on different sides of Hip Hop. E.D.I., a legendary rapper, and 17 year old kiesample, a new school producer, find ways to inspire one another. Both deeply appreciate how this type of partnership can work to further the culture during one of the most significant movements of the genre, Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary.
The new single comes on the heels of E.D.I’s recent double album release. Earlier this summer, the Outlawz member dropped the last installments to The Hope Dealer and O.G. Mixtape projects. (View: EDI Mean Releases “The Hope Dealer 3” And “O.G. 3 La Bella Vita”)
“I did the first #OGest1992 mixtape hosted by @thedjxrated and @therealmikeepps to see if I could do it honestly. Felt good, so I did #THD 1 and 2. #OG2 #classicsinsession was next. I was Kinda bored w rappin and was ready to do something else. I linked w my guy @dough_networkz and with his energy and 👂🏾 and we put that project together,” E.D.I. said on Instagram back in June.
