YNP Maine Drops Powerful Single And Video “All Out Of Favors”
Breakout Louisiana rapper YNP Maine returns with the potent new single “All Out of Favors,” streaming now via Coke Boy Records / Priority Records.
Raw and unfiltered, the diaristic entry lays out serious lows with Maine making it clear that he’s already seen a lot of heartache despite his young age. To mark the occasion, an accompanying video for “All Out of Favors” also dropped — offering fans an unnerving visual to match the music.
“I’m trying to stay with you, but you wanted to be away from me,” Maine raps over layered vocals and propulsive percussion, later adding: “You didn’t give a f**k about my pain when I was trying to grieve.” There’s angst and a sense of disbelief at the amount of pain he’s already had to endure. “I only lost a couple n***as but cried a hundred times,” the teenager delivers poignantly in his signature Deep South drawl.
In the video, YNP Maine chills in what appears to be a schoolyard one night, where he reminisces about all the challenges he’s overcome. With flood lights and anxious camerawork to up the ante, Maine conveys the track’s heartache with poise and presence. “All Out of Favors” is the rapper’s first new release since dropping the infectious “Aventador” last month.
It was preceded by “Aw Yeah,” a collaboration with fellow breakout star Ndotspinalot, as well as “Voices,” which was included on French Montana and DJ Drama’s Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition. That co-sign followed The Start, Maine’s breakout record from last year, which highlighted his unique spin on the sound that has dominated Southern hip-hop throughout the last decade.
