Watch Cody Rhodes’ Tupac Tribute On WWE Smackdown In LA

Watch Cody Rhodes get ready for WrestleMania and gets on the mic for one last promo and raps Tupac’s lyrics live on WWE SmackDown!

It’s WrestleMania season and wrestlers aka sports entertainers are pulling out all the stops to ensure this year’s “Super Bowl” of wrestling is the greatest of all time. Cody Rhodes is no different as he prepares for the biggest match of his career.

The 37-year-old will face the tribal chef Roman Reigns on night two of WrestleMania this Sunday, April 2nd, at SoFi Stadium. Less than 72 hours before his big match, Cody addressed the WWE fans one last time. Held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Cody Rhodes decided to take it old school on Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

As he gave his last promo before main eventing WrestleMania, Cody decided to give the crowd on hand some Cali love. “I could do a little Diddy for you. I could do the Tupac part of California Love. Out on bail California dreaming, soon as I set on the scenes I’m hearing hoochies screaming. Feining for money and alcohol the life…,” rapped Cody much to the delight of the crowd on hand in LA. “It might be a hair too adult for FOX so I’ll just end it there.”

Tupac’s classic hit single was released in 1995 weeks after his release from prison thanks to Suge Knight and Death Row records. Shakur would link with Dr. Dre for the Cali anthem, a song which was originally slated for the former NWA artist. Dre agreed to hand over Tupac the record, giving Shakur a instant hit for his fourth studio album All Eyez On Me.

Cody Rhodes faces Roman Reigns the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion in front of more than 70,000 fans coming from all over the world at SoFi Stadium. If successful, Cody will become WWE Champion for the very first time, an achievement that no one in his family had been able to do. Not even his legendary father, Dusty Rhodes.
