Treach of Naughty By Nature appeared on Hip Hop XXIV where he spoke about inspiring Eminem and the possibility of releasing a solo album on Shady Records.
Legendary member of one of hip hop’s most iconic groups, Naughty By Nature, Treach has inspired many. One of those inspired is one of hip hop’s greats, Eminem, who has publicly given the hip hop veteran his flowers. Back in 2020, as Treach celebrated his 50th birthday, Eminem sent birthday wishes via a Tweet.
“Happy b day 2 @triggertreach 1 of the greatest rappers of all time!!..I’m still tryin 2 catch up 2 the greatness of the last vs on “Craziest”!!!” Treach returned the love and appreciation to Slim Shady and also stated he would be interested in releasing a solo album, only if Eminem was involved.

Fast forward to one year later and Treach is not dismissing any possible music ventures with Eminem and Shady Records. Although no “business” conversations have occurred between Eminem and Treach, the Jersey native isn’t ready to rule anything out just yet. “I would only want to be on a label if I was to release something solo, with somebody that had the mutual respect I have for them. Loved me, loved the talent. Knew what I was about,” Treach explained on Hip Hop XXIV. “I feel if I put out a project, Shady would take it to a level where, like it was its own.”
Treach also praised Eminem and credited him for continuing to help push the genre forward. Admiring his lyrical abilities, Treach also said, “He’s one of the greatest of all time, when you talk about G.O.A.T.S. His lyrical prowess. His consistency throughout the years no matter what he’s been going through personally, he always comes out on top.”
Aside from his future plans to release new music, Treach has landed the role of “Nino Brown” on NEW JACK CITY LIVE. Tickets are on sale now, as the live show will start on November 4th in Philly and run through January 15th of 2023 in Houston, Texas.
