Days after his home was burglarized and robbed for nearly $1 million dollars worth of jewelry, Tee Grizzley has a strong message and warning for hip hop.
Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley’s home in the Porter Ranch neighborhood outside Los Angeles, was burglarized. According to reports, burglars smashed windows to gain access to the home and made off with nearly $1 million in cash and jewelry.
2022 has been a successful year for the rapper and unfortunately as seen too often, it appears the rise to stardom has made Grizzley a target. But still, Grizzley is staying positive and has a warning for artists in hip hop in which he shared via his Instagram account on Saturday (September 17).
“I appreciate everybody reaching out. I’m good, my family good, thank God,” Grizzley said in the clip. “I need yall to do one thing for me, send a prayer up for PnB Rock and his kids. King Von, his kids, and all the kids out here have to grow up without their pops. I had to go through that. I grew up without my pops. He was killed, and it ain’t easy at all.”
This past Monday, PnB Rock was killed while eating lunch with his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles. The 30-year-old rapper leaves behind two daughters, a nine year old and a two year old.
“We got to watch what we’re speaking into existence. I know we look at it like we’re just making music, and it’s art, but these words are powerful, bro. Just like we speak some good s**t into existence, we can speak some bad s**t into existence. So we really gotta be careful what we’re saying about ourselves when we’re making this music,” Tee Grizzley advised rappers via his IG post.
According to the rapper, he was trying to keep info about the burglary under wraps, but news broke quickly. “I wouldn’t have even said ntn but the internet put everybody in my business. Prayers up for the Kids 🙏🏾,” he said in the caption.
