After T-Pain’s comments about 2Pac has gone viral, Outlawz member and childhood friend of 2Pac responds back.
It appears to happen every year, sometimes more than once, where someone decides to take a shot at hip hop icon 2Pac. This time around, T-Pain decided to take a shot at 2Pac when he appeared on Akademiks live stream.
Akademiks imagined a world where social media existed in the mid-nineties and how 2Pac would have interacted with platforms such as Instagram. For T-Pain, he thinks it was best Shakur did not have access to social media. “‘Pac would’ve gotten killed sooner and he would’ve gotten his ass ate the f**k up lyrically,” T-Pain said. Ak did not seem to agree as he quickly shouted, “What?!”
“Lyricism-wise, ‘Pac would’ve got ridiculously murdered, because there’s ni**as out here for real. Bro, ‘Pac was a crazy lyricist in our time because ain’t nobody else have no platform,” T-Pain continued. “If the platforms would’ve been what they are now, ‘Pac would’ve been ate the f**k up. I’m just saying what we look at as ‘Pac’s greatest lyrics right is peanuts to what we hear today.”
“I ma keep it real with you. Ima have to disagree respectfully with that just because look at what drill music is now. F**k lyrics. It’s all about disrespect and when you say, ‘That’s why I f**ked your bi**h you fat motherf**ka, that’s a win,” Akademiks said referring to 2Pac’s ‘Hit ‘Em Up’ diss record aimed at Biggie Smalls. Akademiks also went on to defend 2Pac by stating he always looked at him as a poet.
Of course T-Pain’s comments have gone viral and met with serious backlash. Those closest to 2Pac are not surprised as they have been dealing with clout chasing comments for years. E.D.I. Mean of the Outlawz appeared to briefly respond to T-Pain’s claims.
Liked also by Young Noble of the Outlawz, E.D.I. Mean shared a video to his IG Story of the Instagram account @exit.2pac.enter.makaveli. In the video, 2Pac’s ‘Rhyme Scheme’ is highlighted with his “Under Pressure” song featured on the 1994 ‘Thug Life: Volume 1’ album.
In the comments section E.D.I. appeared to respond to T-Pain’s claims as he wrote, “But remember we wasn’t “lyrical” 😂.” Young Noble also commented with 2 raised fist emojis.
