Interviewed on Info Minds YouTube channel, Mutah “Napoleon” Beale spoke about the time he was approached with an opportunity for a celebrity boxing match planned out by Snoop Dogg.
According to Napoleon he was contacted by the late hip hop artist Gonzoe, who said Snoop wanted them both to have a celerity boxing match for charity. Snoop plays a big role in Triller Fight Club. The Dogg Father has been one to bring celebrities to box and also to invest into the brand. The west coast icon has also done commentary for the Triller Fight Club.
Triller Fight Club pays their top celebrity boxers big money. For example FoxSportsRadio.com reported that Mayweather was guaranteed $10 million. Along with the guaranteed millions was 50% of the pay-per-view haul in his match against Logan Paul. Paul was reported to have secured $250,000 and 10% of the pay-per-view haul.
Speaking to Info Minds Napoleon broke down how he was approached about the idea to participate in a celebrity boxing match. “Gonzoe hit me up. This was the last time I spoke to him,” Napoleon recalls. Back in July of 2021 Gonzoe was tragically killed in Seatle. (View: Ice Cube Affiliate Rapper Gonzoe Dead At 45 Years Old)
“He said, ‘Mu, Snoop wanted me to hit you up. He wanted to know if you could do a charity match. Snoop wanted me and you to do a charity boxing match,” Napoleon continued. “‘You know, its peace. We gon have the head gear on and we gon do it for the culture. Plus we gon raise the money.'”
Years ago Napoleon and Gonzoe had a real fight with one another. Since then the two had patched things up. “Me and Gonzoe we did have a fight before I became Muslim, years ago. But like friends and brothers do, you fight, you hug, you shake hands and you move forward,” Napoleon said.
Gonzoe would also go on VLAD TV weeks before his demise and spoke about his fallout with Napoleon. “The Outlawz was suppose to sign to Rap-A-Lot. I guess when they went out there, somethings was said that I said, that I didn’t say. So, is was a disagreement there. The disagreement spilled back into Los Angeles at the Yukmouth video shoot, because they had just got back from Houston,” Gonzoe explained on VLAD TV. “We went in a room, me and Napoleon. You know, me and Napoleon we went in the room and talk. We had a little scuffle in the room, but the door was closed.”
Years later and the opportunity for a big money boxing match presented itself as revealed by Napoleon. Even with Gonzoe stating he and Napoleon could make up to 1 million dollars, Napoleon immediately declined the offer. As he explained to Gonzoe his religion comes first. Participating in a boxing match would go against Islam.
Earlier this year Gonzoe boxed against Boskoe100. The match ended in a draw. On commentary was Snoop Dogg who spoke about the importance of resolving issues without resorting to using guns.
