Snoop Dogg Reveals How WWE Felt About His Appearance On AEW

Appearing on Hot 97‘s morning show with Ebro, Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez — Snoop Dogg spoke about the WWE putting him on “pause” after AEW appearance.

“Let me tell you this, Snoop Dogg ain’t no wrestler,” Snoop explains. “I had a show on TBS called the “Go Big Show” during the covid, where we put together a show where people can really watch and be entertained on some circus type of thing. So Cody Rhodes is one of the judges on the show and he is actually one of the top dogs at AEW. So, as a promotional vehicle for that show they had me go on there so I could co-promote the show.”

Snoop Dogg would go to appear on an episode of AEW’s Dynamite which airs every Wednesday nights on TNT. Standing by in support of Cody Rhodes, Snoop wouldl get involved at the end of the match and take a frog splash from the top rope onto AEW’s wrestler Serpentico.

Snoop’s AEW appearance did not sit well with the WWE who for long has had a great relationship with the Dogg Father. According to Snoop, WWE contact him and said they would be “pausing” their business relationship with the iconic rapper. Two weeks later the WWE called Snoop Dogg asking for him to appear on their upcoming WWE 2K22 video game. Snoop had no problem in being apart of the new game but asked for double pay since their relationship was on “pause”. Did the WWE pay double? Well according to Snoop, yes. “I’ll be on the new wrestling game,” Snoop tells Hot 97.

Snoop’s cousin Sasha Banks is also a prominent Superstar in the WWE who this past WrestleMania 37 defended her woman’s championship against Bianca Belair. The two woman wrestlers made history as the first two black woman and woman period to ever main event in a singles match at WrestleMania.
