Rowdy Rebel releases his new single “Jessie Owens” featuring Toronto native NAV, accompanied by a music video.
Coming off his collaboration with Funkmaster Flex on the song “Re Route” which dropped last month, Rowdy Rebel is gradually getting himself back into the industry.
Back in December of 2020, Rowdy was released after six years. In 2014, Rowdy along with Bobby Shmurda and 13 other GS9 members were arrested on a 69-count indictment stemming from RICO charges.
Two years later both Shmurda and Rebel both accepted a plea deal with a seven-year sentence and credit for two years time. This deal allowed Rowdy to come earlier then expected, while Shmurda could be released early 2021.
Rebel forever grateful for Shmurda, showed his gratitude via an Instagram post last week. “I wouldn’t be here RN if yu Haven’t been the same genuine person I meet in elementary….
