Malaynah is back and it’s a problem as the multi-talented artist returns with a brand new single and music video for Problem.
Shot and directed by Beyond The Lights Production, Malyanah’s Problem music video takes viewers to where it all started, rapping in cars. What became Malaynah’s signature as the Boyle Heights native freestyle over some of hip hop’s hottest beats. Most notably was her 2018 freestyle over Cardi’s Money, which ultimately caught the attention of the Bronx rapper and reposted the clip on her own IG.
Fast forward to 2023 and the industry has a Problem. The talented artist who raps and sings is putting the industry on notice as she looks to succeed in her own lane. “I had to take a break cause this industry is funny / It’s easy to play the game when you in it for the money / But it’s harder to play the puppet while you know you ain’t a dummy,” raps Malaynah on her new single.
Indeed she did. Malaynah took a full year and a half to get things in order. Her 6-track EP Evolution was released back in the summer of 2021. Problem is the first step towards bigger and better things for west coast princess.
“I’m so excited to drop this song! It represents so much about me and my journey as an artist and I’m so glad I get to share it with you all this Friday! I truly never thought rapping in cars would get me this far,” wrote Malaynah on a IG post caption.
