LA-based singer, DJ and multihyphenate Lyric Jones releases Better Now EP with five new remixes.
Lyric Jones released “Better Now“, her first new single in four years, on June 10th, 2024. A soulful, four-on-the-floor foray into the realm of Deep House, the introspective track reintroduces Lyric to fans and showcases her versatility as an artist.
With synth-infused elements of Electro/Soul, “Better Now” finds Lyric exploring themes of personal growth and resilience in the face of hardship. Her vocals are heartfelt, and her rhymes flow seamlessly, as she delivers a message of self-empowerment and healing.
“‘Better Now’ is more than just a song– it’s a movement. Emerging from a dark place, it’s about acknowledging progress and striving for improvement in every aspect of life, whether as an artist, family member, or friend… better doesn’t mean perfect—it means taking steps towards a brighter tomorrow.” – Lyric Jones
Now, Lyric shares the original OP Miller-produced record along with five new remixes– by Ian Wallace, Zo! & Tall Black Guy, XL Middleton, and Soul Clap, respectively –in the form of an EP.
The Better Now EP is now available on all major digital streaming platforms via Soul Clap Records/EMPIRE. Stream purchase it here.
The very limited edition Better Now EP vinyl contains an additional Dub Remix by Soul Clap, as well as instrumental and acapella versions. Pre-order it here.
