Logic Reveals Ice Cube’s Response Over “It Was A Good Day” Cover

Days after receiving backlash for his “It Was A Good Day” cover, Logic responds with a new idea and reveals Ice Cube’s response.

Logic who recently came out of retirement was told to go back into retirement by Joe Budden, while some listeners also disapproved the effort. Covering Ice Cube’s 1992 hit single, Logic is heard singing behind heavy usage of guitars, which did not sit well with listeners.

“Logic, I beg of you, I’m pleading with you: please join me in retirement. Never step near a recording device again! Throw your phone in the ocean! Be allergic to microphones! Promise your fans nothing! Don’t go to the studio ever again! You are the worst, yo! You are really, really bad!,” Budden said on his podcast.

But not all feedback was negative. Many fans and others within the hip hop community showed their support. One fan on TikTok urged the rapper to give his fans more, “I want a while album of covers like this from Logic.

“You know it’s funny you should say that,” Logic said on his TikTok post answer replying to a fan suggestion. “Um, it’s funny you should say that because I thought about doing that. Wouldn’t that be cool? Everybody’s all pissed off at me because I did a f***ing Ice Cube cover. Meanwhile I texted Ice Cube and he’s like, ‘Man, keep on doing you brotha,’ like what the… who gives a f***. Who gives a f***.”

Logic took things further by addding, “But you know what would be great? Is if, you’re right. I should do a whole f***ing album, and just do a whole album of f***ing hard ass 90s records and call it Logic Greatest Hits, and get all them paid, and publishing, and take care of all the legends and the goat’s and the great’s from the 90s. And f***ing do a covers album, who gives a f***.. whaaat.”

The cover video has received over 13K likes and 250K plus views on YouTube. Watch below and drop a comment if you think Logic should create a full album on covering 90s hits.
