Dedicated to his grandmothers home which he grew up under, Lil Durk’s “7220” is destined to claim the number one spot on the Billboard 200.
According to Hip Hop By The Numbers on Twitter, Durk will finally get his first ever number one album on the Billboard 200. “Lil Durk – 7220 is projected to sell 120-130k 1st week (via HitsDD). 128% higher than his previous 1st week peak on a solo project (57k – JCYW2). 2nd 2022 Hip Hop album to sell 100k+ 1st week (Gunna did 150k). It should be Durk’s 1st ever solo Billboard 200 No. 1 album,” the account tweeted on Saturday afternoon.
Lead by his hist single “AHHH HA,” which has over 22 million views on YouTube, Lil Durk’s 7220 features the likes of Gunna, Summer Walker and Future. The 17 track project was inspired by his upbringing as stated by Durk on IG, “7220 my granny address I grew up in that house that made me the realist.” Now Durk has himself in position to possibly take over Drake.
Appearing on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Lil Durk was reminded of a previous statement he made in which he declared he wanted to be “bigger than Drake.” When asked where he stance now in 2022, Durk was not holding back. “Sh-t, to us, in this mothaf–ka, we bigger than him, you know what I’m sayin?”

“To my people,” Durk further explained. “We touch people. Drake’s at a rate where he can stay in the f–king house if he want to. But nah, shout out to him. He touched the youth. That’s one thing about him. He touched us and got us hotter than what the f*** we was but a lot of people can’t say that. Like a lot of these mothaf–kas don’t even know him but a lot of people he talk to don’t me know. Like, that’s just what it is.”
