Key Glock Is Looking For Tupac Estate Hoping To Clear Sample

Memphis rapper Key Glock sent out a Tweet questioning those running the Tupac Estate, as he attempts to clear a Tupac sample.

Key Glock appears to be ready to drop new music, but has one hurdle to overcome, the Tupac Estate. The 25-year-old rapper has been releasing songs accompanied by music videos over the past months, but has not been clear as to when he will release a new project.

It has been over a year since Glock released “Yellow Tape 2 (Deluxe).” There is no question the loss of his mentor, Young Dolph, back in November of 2021, affected Glock tremendously.

Speaking with Billboard, Glock admitted Dolph’s death put a hold on his music career. “Yeah, for me, I’m just big on timing. Not even just music — s–t, life, period. From when I wake up, timing is big with me. I just felt like it was time for me. I’m not ready to put anything too new or fresh out [because of] like I said with my situation. My foot’s already on their neck, and with this deluxe, I gotta squish their neck and put more pressure on them. I had to let them know this ain’t over and it’s just the beginning,” Glock told Billboard.

Although Key Glock has perhaps hinted of a new album is on the way with his IG caption, “almost that time..🏌🏽‍♂️, the rapper continues his silence when it comes to his next move. “With me I don’t even know what I’ma do. I’m hard to predict,” Glock said during a recent interview with Drea Jackson for Rolling Loud.

One thing is for sure, Glock has a new song which features a Tupac sample. The exact Tupac classic in which he sampled is still unknown, but on Friday afternoon (October 14), Glock called out the Tupac Estate. “who’s in charge of Tupac estate ?? tryna clear this damn song 😤🔥,” he tweeted.
