Fredro Starr Blames Cardi B For The Migos Breakup
Although there is still no clear detailed reason as to why The Migos broke up, Onyx member Fredro Starr believes Cardi B is to blame.
Speaking with Shirley Ju for VLAD TV, Fredro Starr gave his thoughts on the current break up between The Migos. According to Fredro, the break up doesn’t surprise him.
“We knew that was going to happen,” Fredro Starr said. “He’s in a relationship. He’s got kids and is with her more, not with them. He’s going that way, they’re going that way. And, she has the biggest bag.”
“Groups don’t last forever. They’re not meant to last forever,” added Fredro, talking from experience with one third of Onyx no longer rocking with the group. “Outkast, Fugees, Run DMC broke up.”
Many rumors have circulated the internet since the breakup, but no concrete evidence has surfaced. Rap group Travis Porter believes the breakup was because of a female. During an interview on We In Miami Podcast, the Atlanta based group chimed in on the breakup. “It was over a b****. It was always over a b****.”
Quavo on the other hand did not go into details but did speak on the matter in a recent interview with Big Facts podcast. “I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo, you know what I’m saying? Because you know, we just came from a loyal family, s*** that’s supposed to stick together. And sometimes, when s*** don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be,” he said. “We stand on real deal, real deal loyalty, and sometimes that s*** ain’t displayed. This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, nothing. This got something to do with the three brothers. And s***, it is what it is. Right now, we gon’ be the duo ’til time tell.”
The duo recently released their “Only Built For Infinity Links” album. On the song “Messy,” fans believe Quavo is touching on a female indeed getting in between the group.
“I said, “Caresha, please” (Soo) ’cause she too messy (Please)
B**** f***** my dog behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ (Not at all)
You wanted the gang, you should’ve just said it, we would’ve blessed it (Should’ve just said it)
Now s*** got messy (Uh),” rapped Quavo.
Fans believe, Quavo reference of “ Caresha Please” is talking about ex-girlfriend Saweetie’s appearance on Yung Miami’s podcast Caresha Please this past September. “I thought we was gonna spend the rest of our lives together. With him, I just knew he was the one. It was different,” said Saweetie. “I was just hella enthralled with just who he was as a human. Even if he wasn’t a rapper, I would have still been in love with him. It was one of them type of things. If he was a little mailbox man and I came across him, I would’ve still wanted his a**.”
It had been rumored, Saweetie cheated on Quavo with Offset. A rumor which Cardi B previously denounced on Twitter. When a Twitter user alleged the rapper had been “lying” about her husband Offset and Saweetie, Cardi replied: “No baby, you lying! You making crazy lies starting s*** and putting female rappers in it WIT NO RECEIPTS. No blog ever spoke on this.”
Quavo and Saweetie broke up back in March of 2021.
