Eminem Drops “Higher” Music Video After Dissing Dana White
Just days after making headlines for dissing Dana White during a segment on ESPN’s Sportscenter, Eminem releases the music video for “Higher”.
As Conor McGregor is set to clash with Dustin Poirier on Saturday’s (January 23) main event at UFC 257, Eminem’s “Higher” is the official soundtrack song for the big event. With that being said Eminem appeared on ESPN’s Sportscenter along with UFC’s President Dana White.
It was at this moment when Eminem shocked everyone with the following statement, “The best part about your opinion is that it doesn’t matter. And if every fighter that you had listened to your opinion when you doubted them, you wouldn’t have a f-in league.” The clip was shared by Brendan Schaub which can be seen in the video above. Although Dana White smiled at the comment he did appear a bit uncomfortable.
Mid way through the video, viewers found out they had been trolled by ‘Em and Dana White, as the clip from ESPN’s Sportscenter was part of the music video. In the video Eminem is apparently getting ready for his UFC debut. When Dana was asked what he thought about Eminem’s chances in wining the fight, Dana replied with, “My prediction is disappoint for fans all over the world.”
The official music video which can be seen below was released Saturday afternoon. “Higher” appeared on Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By Deluxe Edition released in December of 2020 and has sold over 2 Million equivalent units worldwide.
“I look at me now, I’m thinkin’, “Damn”
How proud of me I am
What I did is nothin’ to sneeze at
Even if your allergies are bad
I’m up in a balcony in France
I look around, I see the fans
How they surround me in the stands,” Eminem on “Higher”. Lyrics via Genius.
