Drake Updates Fans On New Album “Certified Lover Boy”
After breaking yet another record, Drake updates fans on when he will drop his sixth studio album “Certified Lover Boy”.
A knee injury which resulted in surgery has also become the number one set back for Drake’s album coming out anytime soon. According to Drake he will release an album this year, but it will have to wait until he is done rehabbing and is fully recovered.
In a message released via his Instagram story, Drake updated his fans. “I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery. I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January,” read the message via IG Story. “I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”
The news comes days after Spotify confirmed that the 34-year-old rapper made history as the first and only artist to hit 50 billion combined streams on the popular streaming platform.

Hit singles such as “God’s Plan” helped Drake to reach that incredible feat, as the 2018 single has over 1.6 billion streams. His 2018 album “Scorpion” which featured “God’s Plan” also broke a record with 132,450,203 streams on the day it was released.
