Drake Reacts To Jim Jones Comment Over Hip Hop’s G.O.A.T.

Jim Jones recently gave his thoughts on who is hip hop’s greatest of all time, which garnered a response from Drake.

The mutual respect from Drake and Dipset continues, weeks after their joint performance at the Apollo. Back in January, despite an ankle injury, Drake performed live from the Apollo Theater for SiriusXM. Along with the memorable performance, Drizzy brought out Harlem’s own Dipset and gave them their flowers.

“These guys right here from Harlem made us dress different, talk different, walk different, rap different all the way to Canada. So please, the pride of New York to me, make some noise for the Dipset,” said Drake.

Dipset, very appreciative of Drake and the opportunity to hit the stage together, have continued to show their love for Billboard’s record breaking artist.

“I would say he’s the greatest of all time,” Jim Jones said during an interview with Complex. “I would just give that to him. And I mean, there’s a lot of people from the beginning and people that invented Hip Hop, I know. But the greatest of all time, it’s a big statement, and the relevancy that he keeps showing year after year, hit after hit, record after record. Any song that he has put out has seemed to go multiple platinum. That’s never happened before in history.”

Drake has tallied 11 No. 1 hits on the Hot 100 in his career, the most among rappers. Back in the summer of 2021, Drake officially became the artist with the most top five hits in Billboard Hot 100 history, with 30, surpassing the Beatles 64-year-old record.

“I mean, there are a few other people that do astronomical numbers like that, but he really in it, you know what I mean? From all angles of music. It ain’t no place you go where they’re not going to play some Drake records to get the party started. He moves around here like the real Bruce Wayne. He’s my spirit animal, man. I just got to give credit where credit is due, and not taking away from nobody else,” said Jim Jones.

Taking wind of Jones’ high praise, Drake took to his official IG account reacting by sharing a photo of Jim Jones, himself dressed in Cam’ron’s infamous pink coat.

Drake recently announced a joint tour with 21 Savage entitled “It’s All A Blur” tour. The tour is set to begin on June 16th in New Orleans and closes out in Arizona. Boston, Atlanta, New York and Florida are among some of the states the duo will hit.
