“Make sure them babies and them leaders outta jail
– Kendrick Lamar
Look for salvation when troubles get real
‘Cause you can’t help the world until you help yourself
And I can’t blame the hood the day that I was killed
Y’all had to see it, that’s the only way to feel
And though my physical won’t reap the benefits
The energy that carry on emits still,”
The song has received high praise throughout the hip hop community. Charlamagne of The Breakfast Club believes Kendrick’s latest album will be the biggest album of any genre for 2022. “Speaking from the perspective of Nipsey from the after life, what if Nipsey’s spirit really used Kendrick to convey that message,” Charlamagne said Monday morning. “I think Future is the biggest release so far this year period. And, now Bad Bunny is about to be the biggest release so far this year. Kendrick is the biggest release period.”
