Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma Witness Murda Mook Crowned At “Homecoming”

Making its return to the birthplace of hip hop was the Ultimate Rap League. Many talented rappers took center stage at the Irving Plaza displaying their lyrical skills in front of hip hop greats. At the end Harlem legend Murda Mook defeated the reigning three-time battle rap champion out of Compton, CA, Geechi Gotti.

The much talked about event had “Mook” trending as high as #3 on Twitter, showing the universal appeal of battle rap as it went head to head with the NFL on Sunday afternoon.

The rest of the card featured some of battle rap’s biggest legends and brightest stars including New Jersey battle rap legend, Arsonal and Brooklyn’s own Jaz the Rapper as well as Swamp, K-Shine, JakkBoy Maine, JayBlac, Viixen The Assassin, and much more.
