Benny The Butcher Talks Potential Drake, Jay-Z Features

Could we soon hear a collaboration between Drake and Benny The Butcher? The 36-year-old explains on The Bootleg Kev Podcast.

Fresh off his new release “The Plugs I Met 2”, Benny The Butcher appeared on The Bootleg Kev Podcast where he revealed Drake feature and update on a possible Jay-Z verse.

Featuring the likes of 2 Chainz, Chinx, Jim Jones, French Montana, Rick Hyde, and Fat Joe on The Plugs I Met 2 — Benny isn’t stopping any time soon as he prepares to drop a song with Drake. In fact according to Benny, there is a few Drake songs in the vault. “Soon! I can’t wait to ya’ll hear that record,” Benny said after he was asked when the record dropping.

How could Benny possibly match a Drake feature? Well, how about a feature from Roc Nation’s CEO Jay-Z. After signing with Roc Nation back in 2019, Benny found himself taking a plane to meet up with Hov, but unfortunately nothing became of it and the two never got a chance to link up. But, as Benny indicates, the “door is open”. “His door is open, you know what I’m sayin’? So, it’s a lot to be gained. I don’t want him to be feeling that… that type, ‘I just want the song’ ’cause it ain’t like that,” Benny explains.

“I think he was going out of town,” he reveals. “One time I flew out here. He had an idea of a song that he wanted to do with me and I flew out here to do a song with him but he was movin’ around and doin’ shit, you know what I’m sayin’? That’s the f—in’ president times 10.”

Benny isn’t tripping over it though. Although be may wonder what the actually idea Jay-Z had in mind, Benny The Butcher is completely honored either way. “Even for him to have the idea, if we never did something, that is still crazy.”
