Bad Bunny’s Personal Space Disrespected, Throws Fan’s Phone
No matter how big of a fan you are, Bad Bunny demands everyone to respect his personal space as seen in the viral video where he throws a fan’s phone in the water.
The Latin megastar appreciates his fans for helping him break all types of records, but one thing Bad Bunny is not a fan of is disrespect. As seen in a video which went viral on Monday (January 2), Bad Bunny was approached by a female fan in the Dominican Republic.
As the “Soy Peor” rapper walks through the streets of DR, a female fan pulls out her phone and is ready for a personal selfie with the Latin star. Making her way in front of Bad Bunny, what happened next shocked the female fan and others in attendance.
Annoyed by the disrespect, Bad Bunny grabbed the woman’s phone and tossed the device into the water nearby. The woman appeared to be in total shock as were many fans who chimed in all over social media. Some defending Spotify’s most streamed artist of 2022, others expressing their disdain over his actions.
In a tweet sent out by Bad Bunny in Spanish, the artist explains it all came down to one thing: “personal space.” “The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect. Those who come to put a phone bastard in my face I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect and I will treat it likewise,” read the translated tweet send out Monday afternoon.
The rapper might be getting more personal space in the new year. During a recent interview with Billboard, the Latin star said it is time for a break. “I’m taking a break. 2023 is for me, for my physical health, my emotional health to breathe, enjoy my achievements,” he told the outlet. “We’re going to celebrate. Let’s go here, let’s go there, let’s go on the boat. I have a couple of sporadic commitments, and I’ll go to the studio, but there’s no pressure. Remember yourself, cabrón. You’ve worked your a** off.”
