Kanye West Replaced By Ex-Friend For Rolling Loud Miami
The new Rolling Loud Miami lineup has been announced and excludes Kanye West who is replaced by an ex-friend.
Sunday afternoon, news broke of Kanye West declining to participate at Rolling Loud Miami. The new lineup was revealed on Rolling Loud’s official Instagram account with the following caption, “Due to circumstances outside of our control, Ye will no longer be performing at Rolling Loud Miami 2022. Please welcome @kidcudi!”
Many fans showed their disappointment in the comments section, prompting Tariq Cherif co-founder and co-CEO to respond in the comments, “Tried to convince Ye to stay on the lineup but he wasn’t having it.” Kid Cudi also shared the news on his Twitter account. Excited by the switch, Cudi tweeted, “RAGER BOY INCOMING‼️.”
Cudi replacing West is ironic in itself. The two who have collaborated on hits in the past such as “Earse Me” and “Welcome To The Heartbreak,” had a recent fallout. Things quickly turned left earlier this year when Kid Cudi was photographed with Pete Davidson. A big no no for Ye.
West quickly went on social media and wrote, “Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you know who. We all speak in Billie language now,” Kanye posted on Instagram in a seemingly handwritten letter.”
Months later Cudi appeared on Pusha-T’s ‘It’s Almost Dry’ and quickly provided clarification on his friendship with West. “Hey! So I know some of you heard about the song I got w Pusha. I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye,” Cudi clarified on Twitter. “I am not cool w that man. He’s not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye.”
Other headlines remain such as Future and Kendrick Lamar who will be joined by Soulja Boy, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Durk and others respectively.
