With over 70 million combined global streams in the two months since the release of the song – which is her second single ever – the 18-year old’s rise can be considered nothing short of astounding. “Girls Like Us” is currently in the Spotify Global Top 200. With over 21 million U.S. Spotify streams to date, America is Wees’ #2 streaming market, just behind her native country of Germany.
Wees made her first appearance on legendary DJ Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 show to launch “Girls Like Us.” The song has gone on to become Top 10 on the iTunes and Apple Music charts across Europe. “Girls Like Us” has been featured on numerous playlists worldwide, including Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits and Apple Music’s New Music Daily in the U.S. The track has also topped Shazam charts in Switzerland, Austria and Germany and placed in the Top 50 globally.
