50 Cent went on to close out night one of Rolling Loud live from his hometown of Queens at Citi Field on Thursday (October 28) as he brought out DaBaby.
50 Cent would once again create headlines as he brought a DaBaby, which according to TMZ was approved by Rolling Loud organizers. This marked DaBaby’s return to the festival after receiving backlash back at Rolling Loud Miami in July where his “homophobic” remarks cost him multiple shows during the summer.
DaBaby would also lose his partnership with boohooMan clothing line. “boohooMAN condemn the use of homophobic language and confirm we will no longer be working with DaBaby,” wrote the retailer on Instagram. “Diversity and inclusion are part of the boohoo Groups DNA and we pride ourselves on representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe. We stand by and support the LGBTQ+ community, and do not tolerate any hate speech or discrimination in any form.”
Even with DaBaby explaining himself on Instagram and apologizing, that wasn’t enough, until now. As he took the stage and shocked those on hand at Citi Feild, DaBaby said, “50 Cent has brought out the live show killa out here. The ni–a you thought you wasn’t gonna see on show no more.”
50 Cent has publicly shown his support for DaBaby as an artist. Back in July, DaBaby shared a photo of himself and Fif with the following caption, “Somebody I been studying for a MINUTE lent me a few hours of his time today,” DaBaby wrote in the caption on Instagram. “Ni—s so scared to let me in the room they f—ed around & let me end up in the room w/ @50cent 🤦🏾♂️ BIG MISTAKE!” (Also view: 50 Cent Wants DaBaby To Be Better Than Him: This Is Hip Hop)
